United States cyber security corporation Owl Cyber Defense has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Australia’s GME to develop an Australian-based delivery and support capability for Owl’s NSA-certified exportable cyber security products.
“GME electronic and radio products have been keeping Australians safe and connected for many decades,” said Chris Rule, General Manager Defence and Security at GME.
“Providing the electronics underpinning national defence is core business for GME and we can do so at the speed and scale needed by customers to deploy these products in the tactical domains of Sea, Land and Air”.
The companies stated that the MOU is intended to enhance the availability and sustainment of Owl’s products in Australia and New Zealand through GME’s established presence in the AUKUS nations.
“Owl remains steadfastly dedicated to the security of the United States and its partners, especially those key allies of the Five Eyes,” said Scott Orton, CEO of Owl Cyber Defense.
“As such, we are very pleased to announce this agreement with GME. This expansion of Owl’s product and support capacity within the AUKUS nations will bring vital cyber security solutions closer to the hands of our partner nations and the U.S. at a pivotal global moment.
“GME’s respected reputation as a provider of secure communications equipment is a great match to enable Owl to quickly meet customer demand and ensure we can continue to deliver for both our U.S. and international customers.”
